Productie Proces Automatisering event puts focus on Industry 4.0 and IIoT
20 February 2018
On February 6, 2018, the yearly Productie Proces Automatisering (PPA) event took place in Nijkerk, The Netherlands. The PPA event is visited by managers, board members, engineers, buyers and operators in the process automatization industry every year. Its seminar program offered visitors and exhibitors knowledge on how to improve performance, efficiency and effectiveness. Topics of the presentations range from the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), intelligent sensor technique, and standards, to predictive analytics, plant asset management, and continuity of production.
PROCENTEC was present with its own experts on this busy day that mainly focused on Industry 4.0 and IIoT. With this focus, most attention at the PROCENTEC table top went to the PROCENTEC Atlas and the ComBricks product family. Throughout the day, PROCENTEC’s experts were able to show visitors how remote monitoring and analyzing an installation’s infrastructure are important parts of Industry 4.0 and IIoT. Products like ComBricks and the PROCENTEC Atlas are great examples of products that show these capabilities.
One of the presentations in the seminar program was held by PROCENTEC’s Account Manager Clement Jense. The topic of the presentation was: ‘Office automation more important than factory?’ He addressed that, after 20 years of experience, PROCENTEC concludes 90% of all faults are due to mistakes made in cabling. In a room full of interested listeners, he was excited to tell visitors of the importance of following guidelines and using certified installers to ensure a stable network.
We hope visitors took some interesting tips back to work, so they will be able to create more stable networks in the future.
